Exam Results

The G-OCX Computer support team has changed the method that informs members of their on line exam results. The former system, of sending emails to the member has had several problems over the years. Those problems were caused by the various ISP (internet service providers), used by the Auxiliary membership.

Effective 12/27/05, all exams results will be displayed on the members computer, within seconds of pressing submit. As sample display is shown below. If a member has passed the exam, then the web page - http://cgexams.info/testing/checkmypassingscore.asp can also be checked to confirm AuxData entry sequencing.

No passing/failing emails will be sent after 12/27/05, only the computer display shown below will inform members. The screen display can be printed out, if the member so desires.

Mentors

Have you wondered what it is that one of your flotilla officers does?  Have you wondered how to become a flotilla officer?  The mentor program is designed to give you the answers.  Each flotilla officer is expected to mentor another member in their activities.  Contact your flotilla commander, vice-commander or the officer in question for further information.

Official mail is not SPAM
Many of you have subscribed to SPAM Blocking Services. Please note the following:

A. They are not perfect.
B. Many will block messages from Coast Guard/Coast Guard Auxiliary approved and official mailing lists.

We strongly suggest that ALL members make mention to their fellow Auxiliarists that they need to specifically permit any and all Official and approved Coast Guard/Coast Guard Auxiliary mailing lists in their software.

DIRAUX and other Coast Guard and Auxiliary list administrators WILL NOT request permission individually to these SPAM software systems for hundreds of members in order for them to receive ALAUXDIST1SR's or other official communications.

Facility Inspection Reminder
All aircraft and vessel facilities are now on a 12 month inspection cycle. Simply put, the facility inspection expires 12 months after the last recorded inspection date. If a new inspection is not recorded within the 12 month period, the facility reverts to uninspected status shortly afterward. All operational facility owning members are notified by email approximately 45 days prior to the expiration date, reminding them that inspection will be due shortly. Their FC and SO-OP are also copied on this notification.

The same applies to radio facilities, with the exception that they are on a 36 month cycle.
